At My Electric Radiators a commonly asked questions is which is your most economic electric radiator? By this we remind our customers that all our electric radiators are intelligently designed and manufactured to crucially provide the lowest possible energy efficient running costs. There are however some online companies that offer electric heaters from £100. Beware of these as a cheap budget electric panel heater is not comparable to a state of the art energy efficient electric radiator. Whilst you may be lured in by the initial lower expense this is counter productive, as what may appear to be a bargain will undoubtably turn out to be a costly acquisition once your properties energy bill begins to.

So what is our most economic electric radiator?

The SlimPro is one of the most competitively priced energy efficient electric radiators on the market packed with performance leading technology combining low running costs and the opportunity to create further savings through extensive programming options. We asked customers for their feedback of the SlimPro of which we received an overwhelming response. We are proud that many of our electric radiators are sold through the recommendation and praise from previous customers. In turn we decided that Sarah Whittaker from Peterborough included the most typical UK customer thought process which you can read in depth below.

The SlimPro

When I began searching for an economy electric radiator I was Initially rather confused with contradicting information being fed to me by a number of online retailers. For that reason I decided that I would initially purchase one radiator to evaluate the running costs and progress from there. I decided on purchasing from My Electric Radiators since I felt they stocked the most stylish product and with the added bonus from being the most competitively priced retailers online.

I opted for the smallest sized SlimPro which was a 500W priced at £149. Measuring 58cm in height 33cm in width and 7.5cm in depth it really is a neat compact design, perfect form my hallway. Aesthetically the SlimPro features a minimalistic yet stylish all white design, together with a sensibly sized display and buttons.

Installation

Packaged with the radiator was everything I needed to install, wall mounting brackets, screw pack, remote control and of course a user manual. Having never used a drill before I waited until my husband returned from work, however I had pre penciled on the wall where the holes needed to be drilled. From drilling the holes to screwing the brackets in place took just 10 minutes and was a lot easier than I had imagined. Once wall mounted they looked even more majestic than when they were unboxed and free standing.

Performance

Following plugging into the nearest socket and switching on the SlimPro began to distribute immediate heat. After another 6 minutes the temperature within the room had increased to a notably comfortable level. The radiator performed very similarly, if the not same as our previous normal gas radiators except that it heated our room much quicker than an ordinary gas radiator.

Programming / thermostat

After learning from My Electric Radiators that I have the potential to decrease my energy bills even further through programming each radiator around my lifestyle choices it became a thrilling prospect. I picked up the user manual which was packaged with the radiator and began following the instructions of how to program the times and temperatures for each day. I must say I was a little daunted by this at first, nonetheless if I (the person that struggles to use the SKY TV remote control and the phone that my son has bought me) can do this then anyone can! The instructions are really simple and easy to follow. For my circumstances I wanted to program my radiator to stay on all day but to reduce in temperature once I had gone to bed. After 10 minutes I had programmed the time and temperature timetable for each day of the week. Towards the end of the instructions I acquired the knowledge that I could lock my desired settings by pressing and holding the + and - buttons for a couple of seconds.

If I felt that the room needed an increase in temperature or a reduction for that matter I could easily override any of my programmed timetable settings by simply pressing the + or - buttons to alter the current temperature. The manual also says that I could set a anti freeze mode which I could see being useful If the property is unoccupied for a period of time, I most probably will use this setting when I go on Holiday for 2 weeks at Christmas as it’s designed to economically heat your home on a basic maintenance level preventing any unnecessary damage or repairs.

Since fitting I am surprisingly impressed with the performance, running costs and style of the SlimPro that I have decided to commit and purchase radiators for the remaining rooms in my home with confidence and will definitely be recommending these low energy consumption electric heaters to my family and friends.
