Not all homes and businesses are aware of how electric radiators have evolved across recent decades, electric radiators now provide an easy-install, zero maintenance heating solution with running costs to rival gas central heating.

But what’s the difference between our electric radiators and electric heaters you might ask? Below is an easy to digest summary.

Electric storage heaters

Long ago electric heating was bound by inefficient storage heaters designed to reduce the cost of heating through charging up overnight utilising a cheap electricity tariff known as economy 7, to distribute heat throughout the day. Uneconomical, colossal in proportions and entirely incompetent electric storage heaters are rarely respected in homes today. We regularly hear from new customers looking to replace their storage heaters that some have been paying £8 per day to heat their homes!

Electric panel heaters

It’s possible to find cheap electric heaters which on the face of it appear an attractive proposition because of their low purchase price. Some can look the business but in turn any initial savings will quickly vanish with high running costs. It’s not uncommon for us to hear from new customers making the switch to our iSkinny electric radiators, they intend to throw away their electric panel heaters due to high running costs, poor heat distribution and bad controls.

Panel heaters are made from cheap inefficient materials such as steel and have poor inaccurate controls. Heating air via convection, an inferior quality of heat distribution which emits warm air high towards the ceiling leaving cold spots lower to the ground. Regulation of temperatures are often inaccurate overshooting and undershooting, squandering further energy.

Our electric radiators

You have complete peace of mind knowing that our electric radiators are designed and manufactured right here in the UK. We pride ourselves on strictly supplying only the latest technology, premium quality and energy efficient electric radiators. Our award winning iSkinny electric radiator features a 100% all round aluminium body offering a superior level of radiant heat. Distributing an identical quality of heat as traditional gas central heating through a blend of radiated heat and natural convection.

In the new generation of iSkinny electric radiators, energy efficiency has been redefined with cutting edge heating technology. A precision digital thermostat accurate to within a fraction of a degree and state of the art energy management allows you to seriously cut back on energy use and heating bills.

Once the room temperature has been met, the iSkinny will switch off only switching back on to maintain the desired room temperature. Meaning that 1 hour of heating may only consume 20 minutes of electricity, making them incredibly efficient.

Each radiator possesses it's very own digital thermostat and timer. Create further savings by taking advantage from the 24hr 7day temperature programming. Schedule rooms independently from one another tailoring heating around your lifestyle, saving you money.

My Electric Radiators are an award winning supplier since 2010 of strictly the most advanced energy efficient electric radiators. Unlike other online retailers we do not stock nor supply inferior storage or panel heaters to create a sale. We are passionate about passing on our knowledge and groundbreaking products to help reduce your carbon footprint and save you money. We are proud to have helped thousands of customers achieve a dream low cost energy efficient electric heating system by supplying premium quality electric radiators, at true value for money prices.

What’s the difference between dry thermal and fluid thermal radiators?

Dry thermal technology sets itself apart from fluid thermal radiators in that there is no liquid, meaning no chance of leaks or ongoing maintenance. On top of this dry thermal technology posses a more responsive heating performance, whereas outdated fluid thermal radiators take a substantial length of time to warm up and a considerable period to cool down. Fluid thermal radiators are also extremely heavy since they contain liquid making them unsuitable for installing in certain rooms or stud walls. Dry thermal electric radiators are lightweight, versatile and offer increased controllability and performance.
