The fashion designer who is renowned for her anti establishment and pro environmental stance took to the streets driving a tank to David Cameron’s family home in a controversial demonstration against fracking. Her colourful and well documented passion for a green environment is often accompanied with controversial protests to get people to sit up and listen. Recognised for her green catwalk designs many of which feature climate change inspired themes and motives. Last friday the veteran designer took to the streets of Chadlinton, Oxfordshire driving an eye catching crisp white painted tank before eventually steering her way to David Cameron’s home to carry out a dummy chemical assault. [caption id="attachment_608" align="alignnone" width="205"]Climate revolution Climate revolution[/caption] She spoke out at Cameron stating that “Cameron accuses foreign leaders such as President Gaddafi and President Assad of supposedly using chemicals on their own people as reasons for regime adjustments. However he is carrying out precisely this here in Britain. Mr Cameron prepares to make sure that toxic fracking chemicals on his on his own citizens on grounds for regime change.”   She indulged further stating that it was time for redesign in Britain. Cameron’s plan to accommodate a controversial fracking procedure which will leave any property owner in the UK to relinquish their land or even experience fracking right underneath their own homes. She ended her speech declaring that UK citizens no longer posses any option but to fight back.   The demonstration was in acknowledgement to the UK governments declaration last month that it will indeed permit licences to 1,000 square meters of England for fracking spread across 27 locations, most of which are located within Yorkshire. It’s predicted the move will trigger large debate and ‘battles’ over the future of UK countryside. Of course much like onshore renewable wind and solar farms the ultimate approval of the applications still have to be given the green light by local councils. Mr Cameron has given a firm stance that councils will have just 16 weeks to confirm the sites and even went far as to say the government would step in if councils were unsuccessful in meeting the time frame. Vivian Westwood criticised the verdict to not relating to any democratic principles going as far to say that Cameron was indeed culpable of nimbyism for dismissing his own party from the debatable procedure of withdrawing gas from underground.   Fracking Is a well documented technique that has been in under operation across the USA. With numerous opposing the procedure and many for what other options do we have? We are all fully aware of the advances in renewable energy so why aren’t we focusing more and more down such a green route? State of the art heating appliances such as economy electric radiators posses the ability to operate under carbon free emissions providing the correct infrastructure is in place. The reasons for employing techniques such as fracking fossil fuels which may still encompass unknown side effects and repercussions is of no doubt down to money hungry individuals. If the UK government was serious about the environment then perhaps they would be permitting trail sites in remote areas in order to full understand the possible pitfalls especially prior to handing our licences to money hungry businessmen like sweets.   Daisy Sands head of Green peace’s energy campaign said that “It seems crystal clear that the British government is reacting to the robust lobbying from fracking companies through totally disregarding both the environmental and economic evidence that clean and renewable energy is a mush superior bet financially and more importantly our planet.”   Unfortunately for Westwood Mr Cameron was on duty in Leeds at the time of the demonstration generating news headlines of his very own with totally bizarre comments about Yorkshire people.   If your currently undergoing renovations, modernisation, extending a property or your purely your becoming conscious of your energy bills then perhaps you shouldn’t overlook a new range of energy saving electric radiators.
