Thanks to Government funding the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) is providing up to £1million through the Big Energy Saving Network. Grants are now accessible to Community organisations, councils, charities and social landlords. Each grant is worth up to £5,000 and will enable energy saving advice projects to customers having difficulty understanding or accessing information on how they can save money on their energy bills and further reducing their carbon footprint. These projects could oversee advice from switching tariffs and other various Government schemes to further enhance lowering energy bills. Last year the Big Energy Saving Network provided 160 projects made available through £900,000 worth of funding. bids for the program are open until the 8th of August this year.
